iLOLA Inc. is a small, family-owned tea business focused on quality, transparency, and integrity across its products. As the business grew, the team recognized the importance of having a strong traceability system that could follow their tea from sourcing through to the final product. However, implementing a system that meets global traceability and compliance standards can be costly and difficult for small businesses to achieve on their own.

With support from the Traceability Adoption Program, iLOLA invested in an advanced traceability solution that tracks every stage of production.

“[Funding] has been an invaluable resource that has transformed the way we operate,” says Su-Mari Hill, Co-CEO. “We were able to integrate an advanced traceability solution that tracks every aspect of our products, from the raw tea leaves sourced to the probiotic binding process and final packaging.”

This improved level of traceability helps iLOLA meet international compliance requirements and strengthen customer trust. Being able to clearly demonstrate where products come from and how they are made ensures transparency at every step and reinforces the company’s commitment to quality.

Funding for the Traceability Adoption Program is provided by the governments of Canada and British Columbia through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative. The program is delivered by IAF.
